The N&W booth for the Ho.Re.Ca. and OCS business recorded exceptional attendance. A lot of visitors were attracted by the new layout and the wide and complete range of products for the Professional sector.
In the OCS sector, Saeco Dually attracted particular interest, as it is an absolutely new capsule coffee machine with two brewing units, a 7” touch screen and a steam and hot water wand. This machine can manage several types of capsules, including in a closed system.
Area, the other new proposal by Saeco, was also admired: it is a capsule coffee machine specifically designed for the B2B market, with sophisticated design and details, a compact size and large water and capsules capacity, ideal for modern and trendy offices or B&Bs. It is extremely easy to use and brews high quality milk-based beverages (High Speed Cappuccino) quickly and easily, thanks to the wide display with touch keys and photo icons and to the Saeco Pinless Wonder Cappuccinatore.
Idea Restyle, too, was especially appreciated. The new interface, the possibility of programming the desired beverage, the easy assembly thanks to the new “space-saving” flat sides, and their range of colours, such as shiny black, white and the “Canaletto” walnut version, were all hits.
Idea Restyle was shown in all the different modules, in various combinations, including the new Power Steam model with automatic steam delivery at the preset temperature.
The new finishing of the Aulika and Royal models, shiny dark grey for Aulika Top HSC and black for the Focus, the new Office versions and the Royal Gran Crema, was the main attraction.
Aulika Top HSC is compatible with different payment systems and has an accelerated milk delivery speed for a quick one touch cappuccino or latte macchiato (High Speed Cappuccino).
IperAutomatica is the connecting link between the OCS range and the Table Top models. This machine uses the vending brewing unit and both coffee beans and soluble products.
Lirika, a model certified for professional use, is offered in three versions: basic, with the “pannarello” wand, Plus, with the Tuono cappuccinatore, and OTC, with the Pinless Wonder cappuccinatore and the One Touch cappuccino system.
IperAutomatica and Lirika have attracted a lot of interest, due to their compact design, versatility and low price.
Phedra Evo is confirmed as the golden standard for table tops for medium-sized locations. Backlit touch keys, LED lighting in the dispenser area and the possibility of choosing among all the coffee- and milk-based beverages, using both powdered and fresh milk (Cappuccino version) are its main features.
The small SE50 professional model, with its own coffee grinder, is still a source of wonder, thanks to the 3 independent boilers for coffee, water and steam, mounted in a truly small machine with a solid and strong body.

After five days of intense networking submerged in the latest trends and business, today Fieramilano sees the end of HostMilano, the leading world exhibition for hospitality, in all its different shapes and forms. And for those seeking proof of the milestone reached with the 40th edition, the figures speak for themselves: the professional visitors totalled 187,602 (+24.3% compared with 2015), of which 38.8%, equal to 72,699 (+20.4% compared with 2015) were international, coming from 177 countries. As well as the European countries, China, the US and the Russian and Middle Eastern areas ranked among those generating the highest visitor flows. Not to mention important representations from particularly distant or unusual countries, such as Australia, New Zealand, Cambodia, Polynesia and several African countries (Botswana, Burundi, Eritrea, Rwanda, Zimbabwe).
The crowd in attendance was mostly composed of purchasing managers and company decision-makers, notably including over 1,500 hosted buyers with specifically chosen profiles from all over the world, some of whom had been found and selected thanks to the close collaboration with ITA-ICE Agenzia.
“Host is a success story that is almost unique in the international world of exhibitions and events – comments Fabrizio Curci, CEO and Director General of Fiera Milano Spa –. With an increment of 24.3% in the number of professional visitors, Host confirms its status as a true world hub of the hospitality macro-sector, the place where its chains meet to mould the trends of tomorrow and to do business and networking. In particular, the flows of foreign visitors are growing in double figures, reaching an increment of 20.4%: decision-makers and buyers are also arriving from countries that are further away, eager not to miss the event.”
“Thanks also to the charm and allure of Italian style, – continues Curci – every two years Host confirms Milan as the world capital of the various aspects of ‘glamour’ away from home. In this sense, we have been particularly impressed by the ever-increasing commitment of the exhibitors to contextualising their product with true storytelling techniques, often of spellbinding appeal. An ability that is internationally attributed to Italy and reinforces the value of Italian products as a fundamental asset, in a sector in which our industry is often a leader.”
Over 500 events are scheduled during the exhibition, notably including the FIPGC World Pastry Making Championships which, this year, in front of a stadium-style crowd, saw Italy claim victory over 20 teams from all over the world, including China (second place) and Japan (third place).
A role also confirmed by the increasing presence of the international institutions. Business Beyond Borders, an international project promoted by the European Commission, engaged 240 companies from 53 countries in over 200 meetings, whereas Grupo Consular de América Latina y el Caribe N.I. participated for the very first time, grouping together consular representations from Bolivia, Colombia, El Salvador, Ecuador, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Uruguay and Venezuela. This edition has also obtained the prestigious US Commercial Service certification, issued by the US Department of Commerce exclusively to a small number of international fairs that stand out for their ability to foster real business.
The next edition of HostMilano will be held in Fieramilano from 18 to 22 October 2019.

At Host Saeco Professional will present its new proposals for the Ho.Re.Ca. and OCS sectors.
For the Ho.Re.Ca. sector, the novelty will be the completely redesigned, ultra-reliable and strong “Idea” model. Idea Restyle now has a new design, slim sides to reduce its footprint that are now interchangeable, in order to fit it in any location and with every style. Indeed, the sides are available as optional in several colours: black (standard version) and then blue, red, white and canaletto walnut. The interface, too, was completely restyled, and includes capacitive technology and a modern look. The Idea Restyle line includes several modules - Cappuccino, Duo (for two different coffee blends), Power Steam, Luxe, Coffee, Cups and Milk - which can be combined together according to the requirements of the various locations.
The other highlight is Phedra Evo, the versatile and essential semi-automatic table-top machine, with its minimal footprint and simple installation and maintenance. Phedra Evo is the ideal solution for offices, restaurants, canteens, breakfast rooms or hotel lounges: it has an attractive design coupled with extreme ease of use, thanks to its capacitive interface and touch keys, and offers a wide range of coffee- and milk-based beverages, with powdered or fresh milk (Cappuccino version), as well as chocolate, barley coffee and hot water to prepare tea or herbal teas.
Of course, Saeco is also present with its OCS range, with the Aulika and Lirika models. The HSC version of the Aulika model is especially appropriate for creamy cappuccinos and latte macchiato, which it brews quickly, thanks to accelerated milk delivery; it is also a versatile model, because it can be used in connection with payment systems.
The Lirika range comprises simple, compact and performing machines, ideal for the office and small Ho.Re.Ca. venues; here it will be presented in its OTC version which offers the opportunity to enjoy a cappuccino or latte macchiato with just one touch, thanks to the innovative “Pinless Wonder” cappuccinatore.
The range of traditional bean-to cup coffee brewing machines is now rounded off by the Area capsules machine that offers a sophisticated design with a touch screen and excellent B2B performance.
