This is Saeco’s second time at Sigep and the first as a member of the Evoca Group, a new group comprising
seven global brands in the world of coffee that can be considered world leaders in the sector of
professional coffee machines in the Vending, Ho.Re.Ca. and OCS sectors.

This year too, the fair was attended by a lot of visitors, attracted in particular by the Saeco complete range
of OCS machines, with systems ranging from bean-to-cup to single serving.

In the latter segment, the family of the Saeco OCS machines with capsule technology is increasing.
The Area (working with NES or LB capsules), in its OTC version for one touch coffee and fresh milk
beverages, and in the Focus version for coffee beverages, was still of considerable interest.
The new Onda model, with its metal lever and working with two capsule formats (EP or NES), coupled with
the Milky device to prepare hot or cold milk beverages completed the range neatly.
Moreover, the Dually model (for EP or NES capsules) with two brewing units was welcomed warmly by
several coffee roasters.

Among the bean to cup models, the Aulika Top V2 version in the new colour, coupled with the FR7L
refrigerator with glass door to keep the milk cold, and the Aulika Focus in the new colour were particular
hits. Aulika Office, too, was very well received, especially by Italian visitors, due to its extremely easy
operation and the possibility of equipping it with payment systems.
The Lirika OTC, a very compact machine with a wide range of beverages, was popular among final
customers and small one person businesses.

Phedra Evo, a bean to cup system, was successful with final users (B&B, hotels, bakeries), because it is
extremely versatile and offers coffee-based beverages, fresh or powdered milk, chocolate beverages in a
very compact space, and is available also with a large internal tank. The led lighting in the dispensing area
and the possibility of customising the various buttons were also especially appreciated.
Also IperAutomatica, Phedra Evo’s little sister, garnered a lot of interest: it has an essential design and is
very competitive, offering bean to cup and soluble beverages.
And we should not forget the small, semi-professional SE50 machine, with its attractive vintage design, the
impression of strength it conveys and its easy operation.

In the Ho.Re.Ca. segment, Saeco presented Idea Restyle, whose new slim-sided design in several colours
was particularly effective, as it allows the machine to be used anywhere, also thanks to the new, modern-
looking, capacitive interface, without losing any of the reliability of the previous version.

A RECORD-BREAKING SIGEP: 209,135 ATTENDEES AT THE ARTISAN CONFECTIONERY
EXPO ADDRESSING WORLDWIDE FOOD SERVICE

 Italian-made global product sales increase thanks to a dynamic, creative and innovative product chain

 32,202 foreign buyers from 180 countries

Rimini, 25th January 2018 – The amount of world business, rapidly growing international demand, strategic
innovation and specialist training: all came together at Italian Exhibition Group’s SIGEP.

The 39th International Trade Show of Artisan Gelato, Pastry, Bakery and the Coffee world, which ended
yesterday at Rimini Expo Centre, gave a great stimulus to the Italian-made confectionery sector, a consistent part
of Italy’s agri-food export, which rose to 40 billion euros at the end of 2017.

SIGEP 2018 ended with a record of 209,135 overall attendees, of whom 135,746 were Italian buyers and 32,202
foreign buyers from 180 countries
, alongside which there was the universe of exhibitors, participants in the
international contests, teams for the competitions, guests at the conferences and participants in the academy
areas. A breakdown of the figures in line with international benchmark standards and which enables the demand
to be precisely profiled.

Of the international buyers 77% came from Europe (above all Spain, Germany, France, Greece and Poland), 12%
from Asia (Japan, Korea, China and India), 7% from the Americas (United States, Canada and Brazil), 3% from
Africa (Morocco, Algeria and Egypt) and 1% from Oceania (Australia).

All the figures set records at SIGEP 2018: 1.250 exhibitors occupying an area of 129.000 sq.m., 1.016 events
organized on the official program, 940 journalists accredited, of whom 112 were from abroad and a total of
almost 200 million media contacts to date. The App dedicated to SIGEP was a success: 10,000 downloads were
exceeded.

The highlight events at SIGEP 2018, inaugurated last Saturday with the participation of Minister Dario
Franceschini
, were the Gelato World Cup and The Pastry Queen (ladies world pastry championship), along with
an extraordinary series of events in all the product chains, under the banner of innovation and specialist training.
The links with live streaming coverage (Italian and English) of the events in the various arenas had a world
audience of approximately 244.000 users.

In the exclusive elite of the key World Expos for foodservice, SIGEP dominates the solid confectionery sector,
with a particular slant on artisan and high quality production. Consequently, the product chains of artisan gelato,
pastry and bakery, along with coffee, spread out from the SIGEP platform with new impulse, relations and
business in Italy and worldwide. The widespread satisfaction among all the exhibitors confirms SIGEP’s leadership
and the strategic quality of its development plan.

This success is fully borne out by the facts: the long-term agreements with all the key players in the product
chains involved, the launch with “Gelato Festival” of a new long-term program of world promotion, the entrance
of IEG in the corporate structure of the prestigious CAST Alimenti cooking school and the five-year industrial plan
under the banner of investments in structures, innovation and internationality, once again confirm with the
companies that IEG is a reliable partner and leader for the figures and contents it features.

Saeco Professional will again be present at Sigep to propose its innovations for the Ho.Re.Ca. and OCS sectors.

For Ho.Re.Ca. the combination of the new Idea Restyle Power Steam module will be presented, with automatic steam delivery at the programmed temperature, with Idea Restyle Milk and Cups.

The Saeco OCS line is enriched with some new capsules proposals dedicated to B2B: Area Focus and OTC, for fresh milk-based beverages too, Dually, with 2 brewing units, and the versatile Onda combined with the milk frother.

There will also be the countless Saeco bean-to-cup solutions: the complete Aulika range, Lirika OTC, Phedra Evo, IperAutomatica and the 'small professional' SE50 with dedicated coffee grinder.
